Columbia, MD - Chags Health Information Technology, LLC (C-HIT), a Maryland-based government contractor and systems integrator, has been awarded a new contract by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Division of Food Defense Targeting (DFDT) to provide a chatbot solution to enable user groups, including the general public, regulated industry, and other stakeholders to navigate agency website and obtain answers to frequently asked questions. The DFDT oversees policy and procedures for filing prior notification of imported foods into the United States.
C-HIT will design and develop a conversational chatbot that uses natural language processing (NLP), artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) to respond to users’ requests for information. Customized to DFDT’s business requirements, our chatbot solution will provide an efficient approach for responding to inquiries, while also significantly reducing the time spent answering repeated questions.
“We’re excited for the opportunity to continue our partnership with FDA, which aligns with our business strategy to deliver innovation,” commented Dr. Srivasavi Chaganti, C-HIT President and CEO. “We look forward to helping FDA improve the user experience for millions of Americans.”
