C-HIT Achieves CMMI Maturity Level 5 Appraisal for Development and Services
Appraisal Demonstrates Commitment to Quality, Process Maturity, Customer Best-Value
Chags Health Information Technology, LLC (C-HIT), a healthcare technology company, achieved its
appraisal at CMMI Maturity Level 5 (ML 5) for Development and Services. The appraisal positions
C-HIT among an elite group of U.S. organizations with this same appraisal level.
“The highest level of appraisal from such a prestigious organization as CMMI reiterates our
relentless commitment to delivering the highest quality in our offerings to maximize the return on
our customers’ technology investments,” said Manoj Chaganti, co-founder and chief operations officer
at C-HIT. “The appraisal also reinforces our goal to provide operational insight and optimization to
customers through executive dashboards for better decision-making,” he added.
According to CMMI’s guidelines, each maturity level builds on the previous levels by adding new
functionality or rigor, with Level 5 being the highest. By practicing at CMMI ML5, C-HIT is
considered to be Optimizing, which is defined by CMMI as focused on continuous improvement and able
to respond to opportunity and change.
Since inception in May 2013, C-HIT has been awarded over $150 million in government and commercial
health technology contracts. The company is also an awardee on other federal IDIQ programs,
including GSA MAS. Strategic Partners Acquisition Readiness Contract (SPARC) and Chief
Information Officer – Solutions and Partners 3 (CIO-SP3).
