C-HIT Reiterates Quality Commitment through ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Certification
COLUMBIA, Md., June 25, 2020 – Chags Health Information Technology, LLC (C-HIT), a Maryland-based systems integrator, recently announced that it has achieved ISO/IES 27001:2013 certification.

According to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system within the context of an organization. The requirements set out in ISO/IEC 27001:2013 are generic and are intended to be applicable to all organizations, regardless of type, size or nature.

“The ISO 270001:2013 framework ensures implementation and documentation of various security controls related to our services, products, and processes,” said Charles Lall, C-HIT’s senior vice president for program delivery and quality initiatives. “This rigor in our security operations practices will help C-HIT customers track, report, and remediate compliance against security controls with minimal effort.”

Since it was established in May 2013, C-HIT has been awarded over $150 million dollars on government and commercial health IT programs. It is also a current awardee on multiple federal IDIQ contracts, including GSA’s IT Schedule 70, Strategic Partners Acquisition Readiness Contract (SPARC), and Chief Information Officer – Solutions and Partners 3 (CIO-SP3).
